Bob Biesterfeld , Chief Executive Officer

Bob Biesterfeld is the President and Chief Executive Officer of C.H. Robinson. With 20 years of experience, Bob has developed a deep passion for supply chain and logistics. His strategic vision and operational direction have been the driving force behind the company’s digital transformation efforts, accelerating the pace of innovation and technology deployment across the company’s platform. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer in May 2019, he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, President of North American Surface Transportation, Vice President of Truckload, and Vice President of Robinson Fresh. He began his career with Robinson Fresh in 1999. Bob previously served as a trustee of the Winona State University Foundation, and he served on the Board of Directors for the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) from June 2015 to May 2020. Bob graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Arts.

Arun Rajan , Chief Operating Officer

Arun Rajan serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at C.H. Robinson. In this role, Arun leads the Product, Technology, Data Science, Analytics and Marketing organizations under a single vision to capitalize on our digital opportunity in service of our customers, carriers and employees. The COO organization sits at the center of the company’s customers, business strategy and technology platforms, driving industry-leading customer experience and value for the nearly 200,000 carriers and customers of C.H. Robinson.

Arun joined C.H. Robinson in September 2021 as Chief Product Officer. Before joining, Arun was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Whole Foods Market, part of Amazon, where he led the creation and execution of the technology strategy for a large-scale transformation from a legacy technology landscape and ways of working to modern engineering practices and a technology landscape that heavily leveraged AWS/Amazon technology.

Previously, Arun held leadership positions at customer-obsessed Zappos, through its acquisition by Amazon, serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) from 2014 to 2019 and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from 2009 to 2013. As Zappos COO, Arun was accountable for the financial performance of Zappos and was responsible for creating and operationalizing business strategy across all major functions including merchandising, marketing, technology and fulfillment with a focus on sustainable and profitable long-term growth. During his time as Zappos CTO, Arun led the creation and execution of Zappos’ technology and data strategy in the context of rapid business growth and scalability.

Arun has been building and operating Internet based solutions since the mid ‘90s. His earlier career included roles as the CTO of One Kings Lane in San Francisco, Co-founder and CTO of New York City’s Intent Media, CTO of Travelocity Europe and LastMinute.com in London, and Co-Founder and CTO of ITRadar.com in Minneapolis.

Mike Zechmeister, Chief Financial Officer

Mike Zechmeister serves as the Chief Financial Officer of C.H. Robinson. He has nearly three decades of finance experience. Before joining C.H. Robinson in September 2019, he served as Chief Financial Officer of United Natural Foods, Inc. (“UNFI”) (Nasdaq: UNFI), where he led organization and capability enhancements across the Finance function. Prior to joining UNFI, Zechmeister spent 25 years at General Mills, where he held a variety of finance leadership roles, including Vice President of Finance for the Pillsbury Division, Vice President of Finance for U.S. Retail Sales, and Treasurer. Mike earned a BSB degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He serves on the Board of Overseers for the Carlson School of Management.

Mac Pinkerton , President of North American Surface Transportation

Mac Pinkerton was named President of North American Surface Transportation in January 2019. Prior executive positions with the company include Vice President, Service Lines from July 2017 – December 2018 and Vice President, Transportation from October 2010 – June 2017. Previous to his executive roles, Mac was General Manager in the Mobile, Alabama and Dallas, Texas offices. Mac began his career with C.H. Robinson in 1997 as a transportation representative. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University.

Michael J. Short , President of Global Freight Forwarding

Michael J. Short was named President of Global Freight Forwarding in May 2015. He joined C.H. Robinson through the acquisition of Phoenix International in 2012 and is an 18-year veteran of the global forwarding industry. Prior to being named President, Mike served as Vice President, Global Forwarding – North America. Prior to joining C.H. Robinson, he held a number of roles at Phoenix International, including Regional Manager, Sales Manager, and General Manager of the St. Louis office. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Business.

Angie Freeman, Chief Human Resources & ESG Officer

As Chief Human Resources & ESG Officer at C.H. Robinson, Angie Freeman is a member of the executive team and leads the company’s global talent and sustainability strategies, including recruiting, compensation, learning and leadership development, culture and talent brand, environmental impact, charitable giving, and diversity and inclusion. Angie leads teams around the world, including North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America. In addition, Angie has served as the President of the C.H. Robinson Foundation, which along with the company has contributed approximately $30 million to charitable organizations.

Angie has had a unique career with experiences leading a wide variety of areas, including Marketing and Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and Government Affairs.

During her career, Angie has also provided board leadership to several organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Shyft Group (NASDAQ: SHYF), a manufacturer of commercial specialty vehicles. In addition, she serves on the Board of the University of North Dakota Alumni Association & Foundation, the Nistler College of Business and Public Administration Advisory Board, and the Gartner Global CHRO Board. Previous board experiences include serving as Chairman of LeadersUp, a national non-profit founded by Starbucks that supports increased employment opportunity for at-risk youth, and Community Health Charities of Minnesota. In addition, Angie has played an active role in numerous transportation and logistics industry organizations, including serving on committees within the National Industrial Transportation League, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Transportation & Infrastructure Committee. She is also a frequent public speaker on talent strategy and leadership topics.

Angie is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Comparative Politics, with Distinction, from the London School of Economics.

Christopher J. O'Brien , Chief Commercial Officer

Christopher J. O'Brien was named Chief Commercial Officer in January 2015. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Vice President from May 2012 to December 2014. He has served as a Vice President since May 2003. Additional positions with C.H. Robinson include President of the company’s European division and Manager of Raleigh, NC. Chris joined the company in 1993. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alma College in Michigan.

Michael W. Neill , Chief Technology Officer

Michael W. Neill was named Chief Technology Officer in June 2018. Previous positions with the company include IT Director, Application Development from 2010 to 2018; IT Director, Infrastructure and Security from 2005 to 2010; and Software Development Manager from 2002 to 2004. Prior to joining C.H. Robinson in 2002, Mike held IT management positions at ADC Telecommunications and Trans Consolidated Incorporated. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota – Duluth and a Master of Science from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.

Ben Campbell , Chief Legal Officer and Secretary

Ben G. Campbell was named Chief Legal Officer and Secretary in January 2015. Previous positions with the company include Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary from 2009 to 2014 and Assistant General Counsel from 2004 to 2008. Ben joined C.H. Robinson in 2004 and most recently held the position of General Counsel. Before coming to C.H. Robinson, Ben was a Partner at Rider Bennett, LLP in Minneapolis, MN. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University and a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law.

Michael Castagnetto , President of Robinson Fresh

Michael Castagnetto serves as the President of Robinson Fresh. Castagnetto has been with C.H. Robinson since 2005 and has held various leadership roles throughout his career, including Vice President of Global Sourcing, Director of Global Supply, General Manager of the tropical and dry vegetable categories, and Sourcing Manager at Food Source. Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Jordan T. Kass , President of Managed Services

Jordan T. Kass was named President of Managed Services in January 2015. He previously served as Vice President of Management Services and Director of the TMC division. Jordan began his career in 1994 at American Backhaulers and subsequently joined C.H. Robinson in 2000 following the acquisition of American Backhaulers. Jordan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University.

Jeroen Eijsink , President of Europe

Jeroen Eijsink was named President of C.H. Robinson Europe in September 2015. Jeroen previously served as CEO of DHL Freight Germany where he was responsible for the road and rail transport activities for DHL in Germany since March 2013. He also served as CEO of DHL Freight for Belgium, Netherlands, and United Kingdom from 2011 to 2013 and Managing Director of DHL Freight United Kingdom and Ireland from 2006 to 2010. Prior to joining Deutsche Post DHL, Jeroen held various management positions at Siemens in Germany.

Brent Nagy, President of Enterprise Customer Strategy

As President of Enterprise Customer Strategy at C.H. Robinson, Brent Nagy is responsible for leading the Enterprise Customer Strategy group, focused on delivering a Customer-Centered Go to Market strategy. In this role, Brent combines his passion for customer engagement with a deep knowledge of the supply chain industry to ensure we are successfully delivering on our customer promise.

Throughout his 20-year career at C.H. Robinson, Brent has held numerous customer-focused leadership roles, including Strategic Account Manager, Corporate Account Manager and Director of Customer Strategy. Prior to his current role, Brent served as Vice President of Enterprise Customer Strategy since 2015. Brent has demonstrated excellence in leading some of the largest and most complex deal teams at C.H. Robinson, and is part of the senior leadership team, in a key leadership role to help the company achieve its strategic objectives of global growth and integrated solution delivery. 

Brent graduated from Indiana University and also holds certificates in Executive Management, Business and Executive Education – Driving Strategic Advantage, Supply Chain from University of Notre Dame – Mendoza College of Business and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively.

Duncan Burns, Chief Communications Officer

As Chief Communications Officer at C.H. Robinson, Duncan Burns is responsible for leading the company’s internal and external communications in support of C.H. Robinson’s business goals and corporate reputation. In his role he leads our enterprise and business communications strategy, media relations and reputation management, executive communications, internal communications, crisis communications, digital, social and other initiatives. Duncan joined C.H. Robinson in 2020. 

Duncan’s prior roles include VP, External Communications at Fannie Mae, the Fortune 25 financial services company and SVP, Global Communications and MD, Washington D.C. office for ICANN, one of the critical organizations responsible for the technical administration of the Internet. He also spent more than a decade at global public relations firm Hill+Knowlton Strategies, in the U.S. and U.K., in a range of roles including as EVP and Global Energy Practice Director, General Manager-Washington D.C. and SVP in the Technology Practice. 

Duncan has an M.A. in United States Politics and Government and a B.A. in United States Studies from the University of Essex.
